Skin ageing is by environmental factors, hormonal and genetic changes. All they combine to make skin thinner and less elastic. Cells that were once full of energy become sluggish. Cell turnover slows down, it reduce radiance and tone of the skin.
Good news is that by following a good skincare regime, diet, drinking quality water, staying active , it is possible to look younger for longer. Regular exfoliation/micro-dermabrasion scrub can help as it removes dull surface of the skin and helps reveal the fresh new one underneath. It is perfect for skin that starting to show its age, working against the appearance of fine lines and evening skin tone, it also helps work against the appearance of darker areas, sun-damaged or blemish skin. If your skin is a sensitive or very dry, you may want to use less often or spend less time massaging.I do not recommend chemical peels as there is plenty of natural existing.
Moisturise daily, even though your skin type is oily. We often think that oils are best avoided if your skin is already oily, but this is not the case. Quality botanical oils are rich in vitamins such as Vitamins A, E and C and essential fatty acids, anti-oxidants and other nutrients. They can also help to normalise and balance oil production, minimise irritation, refine the texture of your skin and reduce visible signs of ageing.
If you have not yet made the switch to natural skincare, the months like now are a great time to consider this. Natural skincare is usually rich in emollient and hydrating oils to nourish and support your skin.
Use only safe, no toxic products consisting much-needed nutrients which provide the skin with naturally occurring regenerative and healing properties.
Look after your skin with good botanical moisturiser to keep it healthy and hydrated.
